Precincts make changes for primary

Changes have been made to several Kershaw County presents for the upcoming primaries – January 19 for Republicans, January 26 for Democrats.

For the GOP primary only, Riverdale precinct 164 is moving to the Kershaw County recreation Department from the American Legion building. It will stay at the Legion for the January 26 primary.

Lugoff 2, Elgin 1 and Elgin 2 precincts were split, creating a new precinct in Lugoff then three new ones in Elgin:

• Lugoff 2: Stays at Lugoff Elgin Middle
• Lugoff 4: Lugoff Elgin High
• Elgin 1: Stays at Blaney Baptist Church
• Elgin 2: Stays at Blaney Elementary
• Elgin 3: Elgin Town Hall
• Elgin 4: Stover Middle
• Elgin 5: Harmony Baptist Church

Register voters who receive new cards in December should review precinct information. Call the voters registration office, (803) 424-4016.
