Fourteen Kershaw County teachers have received Education Improvement Act awards totaling $47,100.

Teachers at Blaney Elementary, Camden Elementary, Camden Middle, Doby’s Mill Elementary and Lugoff-Elgin Middle received funds.

The awards, announced by the State Department of Education, are funded by the General Assembly to promote creativity and innovation in the classroom. Teachers applying of the awards mus provided a proposal outlining activities they wish to have funded.
