Born in Blaney, SC to Jesse Counts and Hattie Peay Counts, he died Dec. 30, 2009. Surviving children, Leonardo (Felecia) Counts, Sonya Counts Martin and Dr. Telli Counts, D.C.; grandchildren; siblings, Sadie Murphy, Jesse Counts, Margaret Counts, Lottie Counts and Estelle Counts; aunt, Estelle Peay.
