Pauline Driggers

COLUMBIA – Funeral service for Pauline Kirkland Driggers, 91, will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at Park Street Baptist Church with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is 10-11 prior to the service at the church. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, is assisting the family.

Mrs. Driggers, wife of the late Luke H. Driggers Sr., died January 24, 2010. Born June 14, 1918, in Blaney, S.C., she was a daughter of the late John Lee Kirkland Jr. and Emily Ross Kirkland. She had retired from sales at Belks after 26 years and was a member of Park Street Baptist Church and the Joyful Willing Workers Sunday School Class.

Surviving are her son, Luke H. Driggers Jr. (Gloria); daughters, Patricia D. DuBose (Eddie), Glenda D. Derrick (John), all of Columbia; four grandchildren, Luke Driggers III of Hurst, Texas, Dee Dee von der Hellen of Chapin, Robbie Derrick of Lexington, Benji DuBose of Greenville, N.C.; six great-grandchildren; sister, Margie Barr of West Columbia. She was predeceased by two brothers, Paul Kirkland and Herbert Kirkland.
