ELGIN – Funeral service for Robert Allen “Rob” Johnson, 36, will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sand Hill Heights Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Larry Brisendine will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 1:30-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial may be made to America Heart Association.

Rob died Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Born in Statesville, N.C., he was the son of Rex Allen Johnson and Margaret Diane Renegar Johnson. He graduated from Richland Northeast High School and was an assistant store manager for Food Lion in Gaston.

Rob was a loving son, brother and fiancé, who had a great sense of humor. He was of the Baptist faith and was an avid Cowboys Football fan.

Surviving are his parents of Elgin; sister, Kasey Dara Johnson of Elgin; and fiancée, Patricia Collins.
