The Kershaw County Reading Association recently held its annual Reading Teacher of the Year banquet at Lugoff-Elgin Middle School.
Each school had the opportunity to nominate a Reading Teacher of the Year, who created portfolios and displays to be judged for the district competition. This year, the featured guests were students from the county’s three high schools. In their speeches, they described teachers who have inspired their love of reading.
Named Kershaw County Reading Association’s Reading Teachers of the Year at a banquet were Mary Crayne, Camden Elementary School; Janice Kline, Leslie M. Stover Middle School; Wendy Campbell, Lugoff-Elgin High School. Gerald Gary was honored as the association’s Administrator of the Year.
