When she was 14, she married Cranshaw Sparks Branham Sr, son of Lawrence Branham and Mary Annie Sharpe Branham, on 04 Jan 1942 in Elgin, Kershaw, South Carolina, USA.

ELGIN – Funeral service to celebrate the life of Juanita Nelson Branham, 84, of Elgin, will be held Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Hillcrest Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Ken Jackson and Rev. George Cashwell will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. Mrs. Branham, widow of  Cranshaw Branham Sr.; died Monday, July 18, 2011. Born in Lugoff, she was a daugther of the late Jesse Nelson and Ruth Price Nelson. She was a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Surviving were her children, Ruth Cooper (Howard), Lucy Cansler, Otis Branham ( Sylvia) all of Elgin, Clara Fenton ( Larry) of Camden, Cranshaw Branham, Jr.( Sherry) of Elgin, Sarah Riley (Bobby) of Elgin; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, J.C. Nelson (Margaret Catoe Nelson) of Westville, SC. She was predeceased by 2 infant sons, granddaughter, Kelley Cansler; 2 sisters, Mary Miles and Lula McKay.
