ELGIN – Family and friends of Cornelia S. Kelly, of Elgin, will gather from 6:30 until 8:00 Friday evening at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia. A private graveside service will be held in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Elgin. Memorials contributions may be sent to Palmetto Health Hospice, 1400 Pickens Street, Suite 100, Columbia, SC, 29201.

Mrs. Kelly was born January 11, 1924, to the late John L. Scarborough and Pauline Scarborough of Mullins.

Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Rose and Jonell Hayes; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren of Elgin, her son, Melvin Kelly of Orlando, FL. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Kelly.
