ELGIN – Funeral service for Hattie Luleane Thomley, 78, will be held Friday at 12:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Lewis will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. prior to the service in the church gymnasium. Memorials may be made to Union Baptist Church, 1177 Wildwood Lane, Elgin, SC 29045.
Mrs. Thomley, wife of the late William Earl Thomley, died Monday, November 19, 2012. Born in Jackson, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Charlie Pritchett and Ruby Phillips Pritchett. She was former owner of Lou’s Restaurant in Elgin and was a member of Union Baptist Church and the “Busy Bees”.
Surviving are her sons, Jim Thomley (Linda) of Lugoff and David Thomley (Yvonne) of Elgin; daughters, Benita Gilmer (Dale) of Elgin and Mary Johnson (Eugene) of Elgin; sister, Diane Robbins (Mark) of Nashville; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Charlie Pritchett.
