WEST COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Wilma V. Kinard, 96, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2014 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 546 Gardner’s Terrace Rd. West Columbia, SC 29172. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to the Shiloh UMC Cemetery Fund.
Mrs. Kinard was born September 30, 1917 in Blaney, SC and passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014. She was a daughter of the late Archie Thomas Huckabee and Jessie L. Kirkland Huckabee. She was a Lifetime Member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. She loved growing flowers, quilting and sewing and she was a wonderful cook and loved her grandchildren dearly.
Mrs. Kinard is survived by her daughter, Joyce Dalton (Jimmy) of West Columbia; grandchildren, Michael Kinard, Herbert Woodrow Kinard III, Kathy Kinard, Ed Kinard, Mary Carolla, Brenda Dalton VanKoughnett (Jon), Bonnie Dalton Dunford (Tim); twelve great-grandchildren and two very special great-great-grandsons, Maddox Dalton Penick and Thomas Cooper Strickland.
She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Woodrow Kinard; son, Herbert Woodrow Kinard, Jr; grandchildren, Archie Thomas Kinard, Wilma Lynn Dalton and Bradley Lewis Dalton; great-granddaughter, Amanda Lynne Geiger and sister, Ruby Lindsey.
