LUGOFF – Funeral services for Melisa Lynn Conant, 36, of Lugoff, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 18, 2005 at Blaney Baptist Church along with her son. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Charles Everett will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday, April 16, 2005 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Epworth Early Intervention, 2900 Millwood Avenue, Columbia, SC 29250.

Mrs. Conant died Friday, April 15, 2005. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of Clarence Delano Rigsby of Elgin and Donna Branham Bennett of Elgin. From May 5, 1990 to April 15, 2005, she was a member of the Sansbury Eye Center Family where she was dedicated to providing outstanding patient care. In 2002, she received Special Recognition Award and in 2003, she was awarded Employee of the Year. Her presence touched the lives of many and she will be missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Conant was a member of Union Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her mother and father, are her husband, Edward “Eddie” Walter Conant; brother, Joseph Michael Rigsby; step-sisters, Pam Prewitt and her husband, Russell, Buffy Bowers and her husband, Clarence, Rachel Boland and her husband, Jimmy; step-son, Blake Edward Conant; maternal grandmother, Mattie L. Branham of Camden; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Rigsby of St. Albans, West Virginia. She was pre-deceased by a son, Nicholas Edward Conant.

Melisa Conant, 36, of Lugoff, at 11 a.m. at Blaney Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin, Chapel is in charge.
