WITHOUT A WHIMPER, sigh or moan, but quietly and serenely, Mrs. Alice Bradford Williams stepped briskly and calmly abroad the Old Ship of Zion on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at KershawHealth. Her name was checked by the celestial steward on deck, and she claimed her place among her Father’s eternal dwellers.

Mrs. Alice Bradford Williams, daughter of the late Dan Bradford, Sr. and Pearl Hampton Bradford, was born on August 22, 1947 in Boykin, SC.

Alice received her education from the public schools of Kershaw County.  She was a graduate of Jackson High School. She was employed with FN Manufacturing until she retired.

She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Broom Hill Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member. She was a member of the Gospel Choir and previously served as the church secretary. She was known for singing “Great Reunion” by Lucille Pope.

Those left to cherish her memories, grieve her passing and celebrate her homegoing are her loving and devoted husband of 49 years, Robert Williams, Jr.; two sons, Robert (Barbara) Williams III of Alexandria, VA and Maurice Williams of San Antonio, TX; a daughter, Pamela Williams of Rembert; five sisters, Rebecca Reed of Columbia, Mary (Michael) Thompson of Plainfield, NJ, Alethia Bradford of Washington, D.C., Pearl (Benjamin) Bennett of Rembert and Bernice Harris of Lugoff; a brother, Johnny Bradford of Camden; two sisters-in-law, Ida Everett of Bronx, NY and Geneva (Moses) Pemberton of Moncks Corner, SC; a brother-in-law, Benjamin (Mary) Williams of Temple Hills, Md; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends. A special niece, Felicia Harris.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one brother-in-law.

Alice’s presence and contribution of labor and love will be missed.  She will forever live in our hearts. So Alice, we humbly bid you farewell.  Tender memories of you will soften our grief, and our fond recollections will bring relief.
