Mr. Hillard Workman, 85, of Rembert, SC, son of the late Jessie and Lucille Dinkins Workman. He was born March 5, 1930 in Rembert, SC.  He was the husband of Sarah Elizabeth Nelson Workman.  Mr. Workman entered into rest on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at KershawHealth.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Union Baptist Church in Rembert.  The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.  Public viewing will be held on Friday from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

He was born and raised in Rembert, SC.  He attended the public schools of Sumter County.  He was employed by Kershaw County Public Works from October 20, 1982 and retired on November 1, 1993.

He accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized at Rafting Creek Baptist Church.  He joined his wife Sarah Elizabeth at Union Baptist Church where he served faithfully as a member and on the Trustee Board.

Hillard leaves 10 children to cherish his loving memories, Hillard, Jr. (Patricia), Lucille (Leroy), Leroy Nelson, Gloria Nelson, Frank (Andrea), Sarah, James (Reesa), Sheila, Taylor (Val), Kenneth (Jessie); two sisters, Laura Dinkins, Margaret Davis; three brothers, Bob, Dorsi and James; five sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; 29 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.
