Obituary for Mrs. Claudia M. Wilson

Mrs. Claudia Mae Marsh Wilson, 86, of Elgin, died Monday, March 21, 2016. Born in Richland County on November 30, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Claudius Albert Marsh and Ola Mae Entzminger Marsh. Along with her late husband, Mr. John E. Wilson, Claudia owned and operated Wilson’s Grocery Store in Tookie Doo. She was a woman of deep faith, and she treasured the friends and fellowship she shared as a member of Harmony Baptist Church.

Claudia is survived by her son, James “Joe” Wilson of Tookie Doo; sister, Lucille Shirah of Blythewood; and brothers, Curtis Marsh of Blythewood and Haskell Marsh of Tookie Doo. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, and two brothers.

A graveside service for Mrs. Wilson will be held at 2 o’clock, Thursday, March 24th, at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, Elgin, with The Rev. Clarence Boney officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
