LUGOFF – A graveside service for William E. Heil, 74, will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Bob Moore will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Legion Post 195.

Mr. Heil passed away Friday, September 2, 2016. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late George Fred and Bertha Stedile Heil. Mr. Heil was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion Post 195, VFW Post 8346, and the NON (NCOA). He was dedicated to caring for those that served his country.

Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Nancy Carol English Heil; stepchildren, Kenneth Robert Heuser, Julie Marie Heuser; sister, Shirley Milligan; and grandchildren, Raychel Riedy, Shane Dutlinger, Jennifer Heuser and Jamey Heuser; and four great-grandchildren.
