Kenneth William Bickley

ELLOREE — Kenneth William Bickley, 73, of 5462 Old Number 6 Highway, died suddenly at his home on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at the Elloree Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Hope Avins and the Rev. David Nichols will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Fogle-Hungerpiller Funeral Home.

Mr. Bickley was born Sept. 23, 1944, in Blaney. He was the son of the late John Clarence Bickley and Flossie Felkel Bickley.

Mr. Bickley was a member of Elloree United Methodist Church, a board member of Elloree Hillcrest Cemetery, member of Charity Lodge No. 62 of Elloree and Past Master of the lodge. He was also a member of the Elloree Lodge No. 80 Knights of Pythias and was Past Supreme Representative and also a recipient of the Golden Spur. He also served on various farm committees. Mr. Bickley had a great passion for farming and pursued it for over 55 years.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Summers Bickley of Elloree; three daughters, Karmen B. Kennerly, Elloree, Yvette B. Bull (William), Santee, Myra B. Ardis (David), Elloree; three sisters, Sue B. Dukes, Branchville, Tyler B. Mizzell (Buck), Santee, Linda B. Hightower, Santee; a brother, Joe D. Bickley (JoBessie), North Augusta; four grandchildren, Andrew Bull and Stewart Bull, Santee and Mary Ardis and Sara Ardis, Elloree; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Edwin A. Kennerly and two brothers.

Memorials may be made to Elloree United Methodist Church and to Elloree Hillcrest Cemetery.
