According the the United States Census recorded on May 4, 1940, Glen M Mckay (37) rented a home in Blythewood, Richland County, South Carolina with his wife Katheen Mckay (28) and their children; Ruby Mckay (11), Levi Mckay (10), Joe S. Mckay (7), Woodroe Mckay (5), Louise Mckay (3) and Lola M Mckay (1). All family members were reported to have been born in South Carolina and lived in the same house on April 1, 1935. Glen M was a farm operator.

LUGOFF – Funeral service for Woodrow McKay, 83, will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. McKay, husband of the late Shelby L. McKay, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Born in Blaney, he was the son of the late Glen McKay and Kathleen Walker McKay. He was a member of Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are his daughter, Gail Coulter of Lexington; son, Chris McKay (Terri) of Lexington; sisters, Eunice Fisher, Lola Mae Wallace and Louise Lee; grandchildren, Brandi Coulter and Sarah McKay; and great-grandchildren, Sean Bennett and Sierra Bennett.
