Born in Camden, he was a son of the late William Wesley Holley, Sr., and Wilma Jane Ingram Moseley. Mr. Holley served in the U.S. Navy.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce Dority Holley; children, Timothy Holley (Patricia Shearer), Marcus Robbins, Melissa Darlene Holley, Magenta Spinningwind; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
