ELGIN – A service to celebrate the life of Nelda Mitchell Reid, 91, formerly of Collegedale, Tenn., will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Collegedale Memorial Park, Collegedale, Tenn, with burial in Fincher Memorial Cemetery in Meansville, Pike County, Georgia, USA

Mrs. Reid, wife of the late Joseph Bernard Reid, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020. Born on Lookout Mountain in Collinsville, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Henry Mitchell and Rosie Fox Mitchell. She enjoyed gardening, photography and travelling. She was an active member of the Camden Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Surviving are her son, B. Scott Reid (Michelle) of Elgin; sisters, Lorene Boddy and Gladys Borah; and a granddaughter, Alexis Reid.

She was predeceased by brothers, Arthur Mitchell, Alfred Mitchell, Ross Mitchell, and Chester Mitchell; and sisters, Mertice Mitchell Meyer, Mable Mitchell Joiner and Kathy Mitchell Ringer.
