Obituary of Avery Edward Goff

ELGIN – A private family graveside service for Avery Edward Goff, 78, will be held in Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Mr. Goff passed away at home on Monday, December 14, 2020.  Born in Blaney, he was the son of the late Wade Edward Goff and Carrie Belle Medlin Goff. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired from DuPont.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, spending time with family and spending time at his pond.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Irene Goodwin Goff; daughter, Donna Irene Brown (Michael); sisters, Juanita Evelyn Hoglen, Lucille Virginia Smith (Ronald) and Betty Stockman (Richard); grandchildren, Jessica Elise Dorr (Shane) and Juliet Belle Powell; and great-granddaughter, Praisleigh Grace Dorr.
