BETHUNE – Funeral service for Louvenia Harrison “Vickie” Drakeford, 87, will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bethel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Randy Barr will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday, January 18, 2020, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Drakeford, wife of the late Rev. Willie Edward Drakeford, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021. Born in Bethune, she was a member of Sandy Level Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed serving the public in any way possible.

Surviving are her; children, Dale Ellis Drakeford (Willet) of Lamar, Vivian Denise Drakeford-Reed of Fayetteville, Humphrey Gustavais Drakeford (Sharon) of Kankakee, Ill.., and Harrison Jerome Drakeford of Bethune; siblings; Levern Harrison, William Harrison, James Harrison, Allen Harrison, Mary Jackson, Euzelia Kelley and Betty Harrison; 13 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Harrison.
