COLUMBIA – A memorial service for Sara Frances Cox, 72, will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 801, South Maple Street, Columbia, SC  29205 or the American Heart Association.

    Ms. Cox passed away at home on Saturday, January 30, 2021.  Born in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Christopher Malcolm Gable and Sarah Elizabeth Brown Gable.

   Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie Marie Roberts; son, William David “Billy” Cox, Jr.; brothers, Rudolph Gable (Laverne) and Wade Gable; sister, Pauline Smith; grandchildren, Joey Roberts Jr. (Kirsten), Heather Cox, Tamara Roberts and Matt Cox; and great-grandson, Joey MacDonald.
