January 13, 1931 – February 25, 2021

Mr. Robert Lee Bowen, age 90, passed away on February 25, 2021. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Bowen was born is Decatur, GA, on January 13, 1931. He was the son of Hyman Bowen and Eva Lou Doster Bowen. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1953. He retired as a Human Resources Executive from PCS Phosphate Company in 1996.

Upon retirement he moved to Camden, SC, to be near his close friends, the McGuirt family. He was an avid migratory game bird hunter and turkey hunter. He bagged his last turkey in his late 80’s. He was an active member of Lyttleton Street Methodist Church and The Council on Aging.

Bob was a lifelong bachelor. His only sibling, Charles William Bowen, predeceased him by many years. Bob has no surviving relatives, but many friends.
