CASSATT – Funeral service for Marshall Lee Hardin, 67, will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Cassatt Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation.
Mr. Hardin passed away at home on Thursday, August 26, 2021. Born in Smyrna, S.C., he was the son of the late James Furman Hardin and Octavia Helms Hardin. He was the service manager for Powers and Gregory Heating and Air Condition where he has worked for 15 years. He was a member of Cassatt Baptist Church where he sang in the choir.
Mr. Hardin enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, riding motorcycles but most of all, spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Dianne Robinson Hardin; children, Marshall Lee Hardin II (Angie) of Kershaw, Darrell Hardin (Danielle) of Cassatt and Amanda Hardin (Ralph McLeod) of Camden; brothers, James Arnold Hardin and Grover Hardin; sisters, Marie Sulzer, Matrell Causey, Patsy Smith and Myra LaFoy; grandchildren, Trey Hardin, Robert Hardin, Brittany Hardin, Sarah Hardin, Alisiana Hardin, D.J. Hardin, Tyler Freeman and Kristin Freeman; and a great-granddaughter, Briah Williams.
He was predeceased by sister, Geraldine Hinson; and brothers, Furman Hardin, Ralph Hardin and Robert Ray Hardin.
