Obituary of Kathleen Gordon

Mary Kathleen Collins Dailey Gordon, 89, of Camden, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Roosevelt Collins and Cora Mae Bass Collins and the wife of Carson Gordon (Esther, Robin, and Steven). Kathleen was a lifelong member of Wateree Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Wanda Dailey Gardner; siblings, Elizabeth Collins Watts, Tom “Gerald” Collins, Gary Collins, and Pearl Collins Outlaw; grandchildren, Nicholas Gardner (Jenny), Erica Gardner Boykin (Chris), Cody Blackmon (Kathryn), and Ethan Blackmon (Sarah); and great-grandchildren, Emani Gardner, Abigayle Boykin, Kinly Boykin, Alissa Gardner, Caleb Gardner, Bailey Gardner, Ryleigh Blackmon, Dani Blackmon, and Lucas Blackmon.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Dailey; her daughter, Katherine Delaine Dailey Blackmon; and siblings, James “Buck” Collins, Ted “Buddy” Collins, Leonard Collins, and Lucille Collins Hill.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Wateree Baptist Church, Camden, officiated by Rev. Taylor Wells. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Wateree Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wateree Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2024 Haile Street, Camden, SC 29020.
