A funeral service to celebrate the life of Thomas Woodrow Kee, 101, of Jacksonville, FL, will be held at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Mark Taylor will officiate. A private burial will take place, next to his wife, at Hermitage Baptist Church Cemetery.

Thomas passed away on September 28, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on August 11, 1920, in Jefferson, S.C. to the late Willie H. Kee and Magnolia Carnes Kee.  He grew up in Pageland, S.C. and lived in Camden. S.C. for 55 years until he moved to Florida to live in 1998.  He served in the US Army from 1940-1945 and during World War II served in Central Europe.  He married Mary Beatrice Nelson from Camden on October 12, 1943.  He was employed by Hermitage Cotton Mill for 42 years.

He is predeceased by his parents, his wife, and brothers – Hazel Kee, John W. Kee, and Ben T. Kee, sister- Flonnie Kee, grandson James (Jamie) T. Kee, and step-granddaughter Teresa Randolph.

He is survived by his sons, James T. Kee (Sandra) of Dalzell, S. C., and Jerry L. Kee(Wanda) of Camden, S.C. and his daughter, Sherry Dotson (Richard) of Jacksonville, FL;  He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 step- grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 9 step-great grandchildren, 8 step- great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
