Obituary of Barbara Jean DiGesualdo
ELGIN – Funeral service for Barbara Jean DiGesualdo, 75, will be held on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at Blaney Baptist Church with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Jacob Helsley will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.
Mrs. DiGesualdo passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021. Born in Bella, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Frank McCully and Jean Kenny McCully.
Barbara cherished time with all of her family. She embodied grace, loved gardening, crafting, baking, and reading. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her unwavering dedication, generosity, understanding, and unconditional love. Her commitment to serving the Lord in her life and her life’s testimony was a reflection of that choice. She loved being a faithful devoted member of Blaney Baptist Church in Elgin, SC. She touched the lives of many and will truly be missed by those that knew her.
Surviving are her husband, Gabriel DiGesualdo; children, J.R. Arnett, Brian Arnett, Lewis Arnett, Thomas Arnett, Teresa Beeson, Morgan DiGesualdo, Samantha DiGesualdo and Amanda DiGesualdo; brothers, Junior McCully and Jerry McCully; sister, Carolyn Reed; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Bob McCully.
