A funeral service to celebrate the life of Debra Ann “Debbie” Branham, 70, of Lugoff, will be held at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM, one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Cat Around Town, PO Box 1501, Camden, SC 29021
Debbie died unexpectedly Monday, October 11, 2021. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of Mary Lee Robertson Rainwater and the late Jack W. Branham, Sr. Debbie was a legal secretary with the Savage, Royall & Sheheen law firm for 30 years. Debbie graduated from Camden High School in 1969 and was editor of the school newspaper. She attended USC to study journalism.
In her spare time, she enjoyed researching her family’s genealogy at the Camden Museum and Archives. She was a member of the DAR and loved all things history. Her greatest loves were her daughter Elizabeth and her precious granddaughter Peyton. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Debbie had an unconditional love for animals, especially cats. Her other loves were music, books, tv, and great movies. She will be greatly missed and her vast knowledge and wonderful heart will live on in our memories and in the lives of all those that she touched.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Triplett and fiance, Jay Baker, of Camden; granddaughter, Peyton Triplett of Camden; sister, Pam Jackson (Phil) of Camden; brother, Gregg Outlaw (Evie) of Camden; niece Rebecca Dillard (Brock) and nephew Wes Jackson (Allison) all of Columbia; numerous great-nieces and nephews; first cousins Donald Collins (Toni) of Myrtle Beach and Linda Collins Truesdale of Camden.
Debbie was predeceased by her father and her brother, Jack W. Branham, Jr. and her beloved grandfather Val Abby Branham.
