ELGIN- A celebration of life service for Irene Ruth Irvin, 67, will be held at a later date at Blaney Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thiel-Meyer Pet Adoption Center.

    Mrs. Irvin passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Born in Lafayette, Indiana, she as a daughter of Jerry Scott Nuding and the late Ruth Gifford Nuding. Mrs. Irvin was a member of Blaney Baptist Church. She loved animals and enjoyed cross stich and knitting. She was the owner of Elgin Pet Stop for 20 years.

    Surviving are her husband, Michael Alan “Mike” Irvin; sons, Bobby Irvin (Barbara) of Elgin, Andrew Irvin (Brittany) of Lugoff; father, Jerry Nuding; siblings, David Nuding (Sharon) of AZ, Ray Nuding (Debbie) of OR, Sandy McDowell (John) of CA; and grandchildren, Hannah, Kailey, Aiden, Ashley, Bryson, Parker and Landon.
