Obituary of Juanita McCaskill
Junita McCaskill- Age 80 of Lugoff and formally Bishopville, S.C. passed away on Friday, November 12th surrounded by her family. Born June 1, 1941, in Jeffersonville Indiana to Irvin Sr. and Ethel L. Bevis. She was one of eight children and the oldest daughter.
She grew up in the Midwest and attended the public schools there. While she was living with her uncle in Florida in 1961, she met the love of her life, Stephen W. McCaskill. They married on December 16, 1961 and were married for 43 years. They moved to South Carolina shortly there after and began their lives on the farm. To this union was born one son and one daughter but many years later a second daughter was chosen to become a part of our family.
She was predeceased by her parents listed above, her husband Stephen W. McCaskill and one brother Robert Bevis Sr. (Bob). She leaves behind her son, Faron D. McCaskill, his wife Fay and their daughter Sarah, her daughters Karen D. McCaskill (Mitch Branton) and Elizabeth Ashley McCaskill (Reggie George). She is also survived by four brothers, Irvin Bevis Jr. of Kentucky, Danny Bevis of Kentucky, Donald Bevis (Ava) of Indiana and Kenny Bevis (Karen) of Arkansas; two sisters Patricia Duval of Rising Sun, Indiana and Sherry Martinoli of Burlington, Kentucky; and numerous, nieces and nephews and cousins as well.
The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Community Bible Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
