Obituary of Boyd Dale Goff

LUGOFF – A service to celebrate the life of Boyd Dale Goff, 59, will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery.  The Rev. Jay Keith will officiate.  The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wateree Anglers (Youth Fishing Team), 501 Watts Hill Road, Elgin, S.C.  29045.

    Mr. Goff, husband of Victoria Chase Goff of 39 years passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by friends and family on Sunday, January 16, 2022. 

    Mr. Goff is survived by his daughter, Jenni Akshar (Joe) of Lugoff; son, Chris Goff (Staci) of Lugoff; five grandsons, Caden, Christopher, Cameron, Brendon, and Chase; sister, Debbie Kennedy (Avery); brothers, Mike Goff and William Goff; and brother-in-law, Bobby Chase (Cheryl).

    Dale was a member of the South Carolina ABA Bass Masters of which he gained numerous friends who became family.  He and his wife, Victoria, won many championships catching “Largemouth Bass” and doing what they loved. Fishing was their favorite thing to do together when they weren’t welcoming neighbors and friends into their home.
