Thelma Cook Floyd, 90, of Elgin, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022. Born in Blythewood, she was a daughter of the late Willie Cook and Daisy Estelle Bass Cook, and the wife of the late William A. Floyd, Sr. Thelma was a longtime member of Elgin Congregational Holiness Church.

She is survived by her sons, William A. Floyd, Jr. (Nancy) and Gregory Floyd; grandchildren, William A. Floyd, III and Ashley Floyd; and siblings, Patricia Ortmann (John), Stanley Cook (Penny), Bernice Kirby, Sarah Cooper, Linda Abbott, Houston Cook, Donald Cook, and Billy Cook (Brenda).

In addition to her husband and parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her siblings, Ronnie Cook, Bud Cook, and Diane Dooley.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Elgin Congregational Holiness Church, officiated by Rev. Judith Luke. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Columbia, SC.
