Joseph Martin Sparks of Camden, South Carolina | 1946 – 2022 | Obituary

Joseph “Joe” Martin Sparks, 76, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, surrounded by family and friends under the care of Agape Care Hospice.  He was born January 15, 1946, in Baltimore, MD to the late Lincoln Carter “L. C.” Sparks and Mary Theresa Sparks. 

He was a man of God and spent his years traveling as an over the road truck driver for 45 years. In his free time he enjoyed horse racing as an old family tradition.

Other than his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his step-mother, Rosalee Sparks; 2 brothers Johnny and Sam Sparks and a son, Michael Sparks.

Survivors include Debbie Sparks, his wife of 28 years; Helen, Kathy and sons, Joseph Jr., Jason, David, and Jeffery; 2 step-daughters, Tiffany and Mary Ellen; several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is assisting the family.
