Grover Miller Hardin of Camden, South Carolina | 1949 – 2022 | Obituary

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Grover Miller Hardin, 72, will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1643 McRae Road, Camden, SC.  Reverend David Brannen will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 PM on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231.

Grover died on Thursday, February 10, 2022.  He was the son of the late James Furman Hardin and Octavia Helms Hardin.  Grover was retired from DuPont and loved Nascar, vintage cars, fishing and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Sue Marsh Hardin; children, Caleb Hardin and his wife Nerissa, Luke Hardin and his wife Bekah, and Polly Hardin; grandchildren Silas Hardin and Joan Hardin; sisters, Marie Sulzer (Billy), Matrell Causey (Hal), Patsy Smith (Henry), Myra LaFoy (Danny); brother James Arnold Hardin.  

In addition to his parents, Grover was predeceased by son Michael Grover Hardin; sister, Geraldine Hinson; brothers, Ralph Hardin, Furman Hardin, Marshall Hardin, and Robert Hardin.

The family encourages social distancing and the wearing of masks at the visitation and service.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
