Joseph Kliebert of The Villages, Florida | 1929 – 2022 | Obituary

Joseph Claude Kliebert, 92, of The Villages, FL, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Mission Oaks Assisted Living facility where he resided for the past four years.  There will be no services and the burial will be conducted in private at the family cemetery.

Born in Vacherie, LA, on October 18, 1929, Joseph was the son of the late Adrian J. Kliebert and Uranie M. Falgoust Kliebert.  He was a 21-year veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.  After retiring from the Air Force, he was employed by DuPont May Plant Division until his permanent retirement.  Joseph was a member of the First Baptist Church of Camden, a life member of Post 17 American Legion and Post 17 Honor Guard.  He was also a life member of VFW Post 5928, and a life member of the Air Force Sergeants Association.

Joseph is survived by his daughter, Lisa M. Kliebert-Witt and her husband Mark H. Witt of The Villages, Florida. He is also survived by his sister Loice K. Tregre of Vacherie, Louisiana and many other family members in Louisiana, Georgia and South Carolina.  

In addition to his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ruth Robinson Kliebert, his brothers, Mark F. Kliebert and Paul D. Kliebert, and his sister, Dixie K. Legendre.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is assisting the family.
