Virginia Davy Griffin of Camden, South Carolina | 1945 – 2022 | Obituary

 A visitation for Virginia Davy Griffin, 76, will be held Saturday, March 12th, 2022, at 4-5:30 p.m. at Kornegay Funeral Home, 1112 Fair Street, Camden, SC 29020. 

Mrs. Griffin, a longtime resident of Camden, was the daughter of Thomas L. Davy, Sr. and Thelma Roberts Davy. She was born August 13, 1945, in Clinton, Indiana. Virginia graduated from Camden High School in 1963 and Baptist Hospital School of Radiology in 1965. Virginia’s proudest professional accomplishment was her 41-year career with Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina. Affectionately known as “TooMama” to her adoring grandchildren, Virginia will be remembered for her warm spirit, kind demeanor and love of family. The Griffins are grateful for the love and friendship Virginia received over the years.

Those left to cherish Virginia’s memory include her beloved husband of nearly 56 years, Charles Richard Griffin, Sr.; daughter Casey Griffin Eudy, Charles Locke and grandsons Griffin and Gavin of Camden; son Charles Richard Griffin, II, daughter-in-law, Lindsey Griffin and grandsons Gray and Elisha of Columbia; brother, Thomas L. Davy, Jr. and sister-in-law, Jeanita of Pawleys Island; sister-in-law Juanita Griffin of Camden; brother-in-law Jimmy Taylor of Lugoff; nieces and nephews; and many special friends, extended family members and colleagues.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was predeceased by her sisters, Linda Davy West and Jessie Davy Taylor.

Virginia’s family wishes to thank their many friends and relatives for their care and thoughtfulness during this time.
