Obituary of Mary Hellen Anderson

CAMDEN- A graveside service for Mary Hellen Anderson, 90, will be held Tuesday, May 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in Quaker Cemetery, 713 Meeting St. Camden, SC. The Rev. Douglas E. “Doug” Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Worship Center, PO Box 581 Camden, SC 29021.

    Mrs. Anderson passed away on April 28, 2022. Born in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Jenkins Luther Boozer and Marcella Padget Boozer. Mrs. Anderson was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Council on Aging. She retired from Skyline Manufacturing after 29 years of service. She enjoyed going to the State Fair, the mountains, attending church and spending time with family.

    Surviving are her children, Daryl Phelps (Sheryl) of Summerville, Leroy Phelps of Camden, Charlene Yates of Elgin, Steve Anderson (Rita) of Camden, Rev. Douglas E. “Doug” Anderson (Toni) of Rockingham, N.C., Marie Johnston of Lugoff; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by siblings Jesse Lee Boozer and Nellie Blanche Houser.
