COLUMBIA – Brenda Kay Branham Coker, 72, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 14, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 3:00 p.m., at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Brenda was born in Columbia, SC to the late L. Dale Branham and Vera Lee Gladden Branham. She graduated from Columbia High School in 1968 and worked in Bookkeeping at C&S Bank. She married the late Heyward Madison Coker, Jr. on February 23, 1974, and later became a homemaker, where she devoted her time to taking care of her family. She developed a passion for gardening and loved being outdoors, tending to her flowers and feeding the birds. Brenda also loved the beach, fishing, laughing with friends, her dog Lillie and, most of all, was a proud Mimi to her granddaughter of whom she adored more than life itself.

Brenda is survived by daughters, Lydia Spry (John) of Charleston and Angie Hoole (Pierce) of Lexington; one grandchild; brother, Rocky Branham (Lynne) of Chapin; nieces, cousins and many lifelong friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Timothy Dale Branham.
