Obituary

Mrs. Betty Murphy passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022, in Kershaw County, South Carolina.  She was the daughter of the late Daisy Lawson Blanding.  
 

Betty graduated from Jackson High School and retired from the Midlands Center, in Columbia, South Carolina. 

She was a loving and caring person who will be deeply missed.  Betty enjoyed watching movies, football, playing cards and listening to music.  She was a happy person who would go out of her way to help people.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dion Murphy; siblings, Joe Lewis Lawson, Ernestine Samuel, David Samuel, Frankie Samuel and Richard Samuel.  
 

She leaves to mourn her sad passing and cherish her memories, two sons, Mark Anthony Lawson and Christopher Murphy; her siblings, Alvin Samuel, Robert (Cathy) Samuel both of Elgin, SC and Danny Samuel of Charlotte, NC; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Beth” Samuel; three grandsons; one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
