Obituary for Phillip R Goodwin

MR. PHILLIP REGINALD “REGGIE” GOODWIN was the son of the late Clifton Edward Goodwin and Louise Roberta McCaskill. Phillip was born on April 6, 1950. He entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. Phillip was married to Mable G. Aldrich. He graduated Camden High School in 1969 and went to technician school for Ford Motor Company.

Phillip was a member of Mt. Zion Black River Baptist Church. He served as a trustee and was a member of the gospel choir. He loved fishing and restoring and working on cars. He was the owner of Goodwin Automotive. Phillip was preceded in death by his father and mother, Clifton Goodwin and Louise Goodwin, and his two brothers, Michael Goodwin and Charles Goodwin.

Those left to cherish his memories are: his wife, Mable of 51 years; his four children, Danny of Prairie View, Wisconsin, Chris (Rozylyn) of Camden, South Carolina, Nicole of Racine, Wisconsin and Clifton of Camden, South Carolina; his sisters, Deborah (Oliver) Moody of Camden, South Carolina, Daisy (Skip) Brantley of Columbia, South Carolina and Gloria Goodwin; special brother-in-law, Gene Anderson and Robert Aldrich (Betty); grandchildren, Christopher “Scoot” Goodwin, Kemaree Goodwin-Warren, Jaylynn Warren, Landan and Emery; aunts, Francis Weldon, Cecelia Richardson and Daisy James; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.
