Mae Nell Mack

Obituary

Mrs. Maenell Mack departed this earthly world at Kershaw County Medical Center in Camden, South Carolina, on September 6, 2022. Born in Rembert, SC, she was the daughter of the late Hosea Stuckey and Jessie Stuckey and the widow of the late Richard Junior Mack.

At an early age, she accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Maenell was a devoted and faithful member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Senior Choir and Senior Missionary Society. She was a person that loved people, and her favorite saying was “It’s the God Heaven Truth”.

Maenell was preceded in death by her sister Bertha Nelson, brothers Asbury Stuckey and Hosea Stuckey, and three grandsons Drell Nelson, Chauncey Mack and Deante Atkinson.  

Maenell leaves to cherish her memory: four daughters, Inez (Jeffery) Hunter of Dalzell SC; Marie (Perry) Herrington of Rembert, SC; Diane (Rick) Mack of Dalzell, SC; Barbra (Tony) Williams of Rembert, SC; and two sons Robert Lee (Rebecca) Mack of Bishopville SC and Tyrone (Ann) Mack of Camden, SC; four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Mae Nelson, Mrs. Janie Heriot, Mrs. Edith Sumpter, all of Rembert, SC, Mrs. Josephine Stuckey of Camden, SC; one brother,  Albert Stuckey of Camden, SC; one brother-in-law, Mr. James (Francine) Mack of Camden, SC. Maenell’s legacy also includes ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, two great-great grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Maenell especially enjoyed frequent visits from her nieces and nephews Anita Dubose, Renee Sumpter, Yolanda Hart, Reverend James Sumpter, and special nephew Allen (Sandra) Stuckey. Also, Special love for Mrs. Jessie Lloyd, Mr. George and Lottie Brisbon, Mr. Michael and Carroll Brisbon, and Mrs. Dorothy Gamble.
