Mrs. King, wife of the late Ferrell Delmas King, passed away at her home peacefully in her sleep on Friday, October 21, 2022.  Born in Sumter, she was the daughter of the late George Clinton Geddings and Ida Teresa Hudson Geddings. She was a member of El-Bethel Faith Community Church in Lugoff and retired from Skyline Manufacturing. Jeanette met the love of her life, Ferrell King, in 1951, and they began their family in Sumter. To be closer to her family, they moved to Camden in 1963, where both families continued to grow. They lived a long and happy life filled with countless family and friends. Above all else, Jeanette loved her enormous family and enjoyed cooking for them. She was a great cook and an amazing baker of tender and delicious biscuits. Her biscuits were well known for being the best around, and she often made many pans of them at a time. She also enjoyed baking beautiful pound cakes, fruit cakes, and cookies, all crafted with skill, joy, and love. Family and friends from far and wide would come to her house on Sundays to enjoy her food and her spirit. Jeanette also loved pretty babies, birds, cats, playing cards, and making things with her hands, especially crochet and ceramics. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
