Obituary of Yvonne Peake

LUGOFF- Funeral services for Marian Yvonne Peake, 82, will be held Friday at 4:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Eric Boone will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3-4 p.m. in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church Building Fund or Gideons International.

    Mrs. Peake passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Born in White Oak, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Rasper Jordan “Nick” Gardner and Lillie Lee Marthers Gardner. Mrs. Peake was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and crochet, but most of all, reading her Bible and religious books.

    Surviving are her husband, James Frank Peake; children, Sheila Boulware (James) of Lugoff, Karen Boone of Westville, Mike Peake (Dee Ann) of Florence; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Peake of Lugoff; siblings, Laverne Smoak, Shirley Griffith, Nancy Walker, Jerry Gardner, Johnny Gardner, Harvey Gardner, Velter Gardner, Danny Gardner; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by son, Leslie Peake; and siblings, Minnie Peake, Carolyn McDole,  and Barbara Littlejohn.
