Obituary of Danny Carl Branham

Danny Carl Branham 67, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, born in Camden, S.C., he was the son of JoAnn Rabon Branham O’Brien and the late Carl A. “Peebo” Branham. Mr. Branham was a Machinist Mate in the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam War.  He was a member of American Legion Post 17 and the Masonic Lodge #411 since 1985. 

Mr. Branham was an interior trim contractor for 45 years. He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed golfing, and camping, especially in the Mountains where he called it their Happy Place.  He adored and loved caring for his fur babies Lilly Bell, Lucy and Ruby.                         

Mr. Branham was a life member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and also actively attended DeKalb Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Jeannie Branham; mother, JoAnn Rabon Branham O’Brien; daughter, Lisa Branham (Anna) of Awendaw, S.C.; son, Danny C. Branham, Jr. of Lugoff; step- daughter, Christina Hall (Hunter) of Gilbert, S.C.; step-son, Corey Grooms (Mary) of Camden, S.C.; sisters, Nancy Gregory (Terry) of Lugoff and Carol Catoe(Sonny) of Lugoff; and grandchildren, Shawn L. Branham of Lugoff, Aubree J. Branham of Lugoff, Christopher Grooms of Camden and Makenzie Grooms of Camden; and father -in-law, Arthur Odell Hendrix of Camden.  He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Sarah Hendrix.  

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Branham will be Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Eric Boone and the Rev. Vince Earl will be officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 5-7 P.M. at Powers Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church or DeKalb Baptist Church.
