Beverly Joyce (Smoak) Lapper
SEMINOLE, FL — Beverly Joyce (Smoak) Lapper, 90, went to reunite with Fred, her husband of 57 years on September 25th. Many memories were made over the past 50 years at their home in Seminole Lake Country Club.
She was born in Orangeburg, SC, and went to Columbia College where she received a Bachelor’s degree in education. Teaching was her passion and she spent over 30 years teaching Business Education at Seminole High School in Florida.
Beverly was a member of Pasadena Community Church. She loved volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House, visiting Folly Beach, being a Memah to her grandchildren, cheering on the Florida Gators and most recently holding her first great-grandchild.
A private ceremony will be held at Sylvan Abbey and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
She is survived by her son Gavin Lapper of Tampa, daughter Erin Russell of Largo, grandson Jack Russell IV (Sarah), granddaughter Madison Hayduke (Jared), sister Miriam Edwards of Elgin, and great-granddaughter Adelyn Russell.
