Obituary of Ann H. Stokes

CAMDEN – Funeral service for Ann Holland Stokes, 84, will be held Monday, October 2, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Bishopville with burial to follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Faith Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 35 Phillips Church Rd, Bishopville, SC 29010.

Mrs. Stokes passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023 at MUSC Kershaw Health.  Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Fred Oscar Holland and Blanche Rodgers Holland.  She was a member of Faith Baptist Church where she enjoyed Monday nights with the WOM.  She also enjoyed flowers, gardening and cooking.  Mrs. Stokes was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and cherished the time spent with all her family.  Her grandchildren gave her the greatest joy!

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, William Marion “Bo” Stokes; children, William Mark Stokes (Patricia) of Camden, Cheri Stokes of Camden, Teia Tomlinson (Jay) of Camden, and Wade Marion Stokes (Suzette) of Camden; siblings, John Holland (Odenia), Louise Capell (Carl), Ronnie Holland (Jean), Eugene Holland (June) and Lynn Talbert (Steve); 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by 2 daughters, Brenda Gail Stokes and Carol Ann Stokes; and brothers, Calvin Holland and Mac Holland.
