A roundup of Friday’s high school football action in the Lowcountry and statewide scores:
Bluffton 55, Colleton County 21: Owen Bayes threw four touchdown passes, two to Carnell Warren, as the Bobcats earned the third spot from Region 7-4A. Bluffton will host Richland Northeast in the first round of the playoffs.
Shane Whittaker returned a fumble for a touchdown and Jaden Young had a TD run.
May River 9, Hilton Head Island 6: Kammron Mitchell had a TD run and Hudson Tanner kicked a field goal as the Sharks clinched the fourth spot from Region 7-4A.
Thaddeus Czarnecki had a 45-yard run in the second half to get Hilton Head within 9-6.
Hanahan 35, Beaufort 24: Julius Hippensteel threw three touchdown passes and Kevon Rivera had two TD runs as Hanahan won the Region 7-3A championship. Beaufort will be the No. 3 seed from the region. Dorell Depass and Jadyen Andrews had touchdown runs for the Eagles.
Bamberg-Ehrhardt 28, Whale Branch 10: Chanston Crosby threw two touchdown passes as Bamberg-Erhardt won the Region 7-A championship. The Warriors will be the No. 2 seed from the region. Jermon Bowers returned an interception for Whale Branch’s only score.
Hilton Head Christian 38, Hilton Head Prep 7: The Eagles scored 24 points in the first quarter on their way to a win over the Dolphins.
Ridgeland-Hardeeville 22, Allendale-Fairfax 20: The Jaguars won on the final play of the game to defeat Allendale-Fairfax. It was Ridgeland-Hardeeville’s fifth win of the season, the most since it won eight in 2014.
Wilson Hall 45, John Paul II 0: Blake Van Patten caught a TD pass and ran for a score and Miles Van Patten had two rushing touchdowns in Wilson Halls’ win.
Bethesda 34, Beaufort Academy 28: Triston Randall threw two touchdown passes and ran for one as Bethesda finished the regular season at 10-0. Beaufort Academy trailed 34-14 but scored a pair of touchdowns late in the fourth quarter.
Thomas Heyward 40, Patrick Henry 19: The Rebels got a big season-ending win and likely will be the No. 1 seed for the SCISA Class A playoffs.
Philip Simmons 43, Battery Creek 14: Philip Simmons clinched No. 2 spot in Region 7-3A with a win over Battery Creek.
