It is with deepest sympathy that we announce the passing of Mr. William H. Greene who entered into rest March 3, 2024.

Henry graduated from Camden High School in 1972. After graduating, Henry moved to New York City. He worked for the New Jersey Post Office, ventured into entrepreneurship in New York and did various jobs after returning to South Carolina.

Henry was the thirteenth child birthed into this loving, Christian family. He always remembered his love for God and his Christian teaching. Henry loved family and his nieces and nephews. He was very instrumental in the raising, caring, loving and guidance of many of the Greene children. He was Uncle Henry. His heart was pure, and his love was immeasurable. He was Uncle Henry. He was not just loved by his family, but he received love from unlimited amounts of friends. He would give you his last. He was Henry.

Henry leaves cherished memories to his wife, Linda Carter Greene of New Jersey; a son, Gyril Nicholas Santos; grandsons, Cyquan Smith and Tyequan Smith; great-grands, Ava Smith and Cye Smith; one brother, John Wesley Greene, Jr. (Hattie); three sisters, Mattie Greene Allen and Joanne Greene-McEachern (Bill) of New York, NY and Virginia Greene of Camden, SC; three sisters-in-law, Lula Greene and Edith Greene of Camden, SC and Donna Carter of Columbia, SC.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, March 11, 2024 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
