ELGIN – Funeral service for Jacqueline “Jackie” Ann Grigsby Kelly, 50, will be held 4 o’clock Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at Spears Creek Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The Reverend Joe T. Youngblood will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Roy Dinkins, Kenny Wilson, Johnny Youngblood, Rodney Jordan, Eddie Jordan and Dennis Barfield. Honorary pallbearers will be the ladies of the Women’s Auxiliary of VFW Post 11079. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 this evening at Shives Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to VFW 11079, 2464 Bowen St., Elgin, SC 29045-9013.

Ms. Kelly died June 4, 2006. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of Edith Hornsby Ariail and the late William B. Grigsby. She graduated from Keenan High School and Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology and worked as a hair stylist for 18 years. For the past five years she worked in financial services and most recently, with Quick Credit. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of VFW Post 11079.

Survivors include her son, Phillip Ariail of Lugoff and son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Amanda Michalko of Michigan; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Paul Vanthof of Lugoff; six grandchildren, Kristian and Shane Ariail, Logan, David and Gavin Michalko, Chandler Padgett; siblings, Barbara Griffin of Tega Cay, Mike Grigsby, Darrell and wife, Pam Grigsby, Calvin Grigsby and Tina Gregory, all of Elgin; many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a sister, Dawn Ariail; grandparents, Roy and Lillie Hornsby and Bryant and Sadie Grigsby; and a nephew, William Darrell Grigsby Jr.
