Dorothy Elizabeth Kauruter, 77, of Lugoff, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Born in Blair County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Wayne and Golda Claar Dunmire and the wife of the late Michael Raymond “Ray” Kauruter. Dorothy loved cooking and baking and feeding her family. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Foreman (Michael), Marsha Rabon (Lee), Melinda Smith (Don), Maria Arnold (Steve), Dorothy Brandon (Keith), and Danielle Kauruter (Chris Anderson); her grandchildren, Michael, Nichole, Justin, Jacob, DJ, Ethan, Bobby, Anthony, Kacy, LB, and Bryce; 21 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Richard Dunmire (Barb), Timothy Dunmire, Edie Helsel, Diane Eyer, and Sylvia Adams (Chuck).

In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her siblings, Wayne Dunmire, Paul Dunmire, Steve Dunmire, Shirley Sell, and her baby brother, Gary Dunmire.

The family will hold a Time Of Gathering from 5-7pm on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.
